My lease on my 2022 M40i ends next week. I’ve got a new M50 on the way. There’s some clear improvements, but there’s also a few areas that are not as good. Ultimately because I got Covid seats with no side bolsters I decided I’d move on from what I thought was my best daily driver ever. This is the first time where I’m kind of bummed out giving up my lease. But I know the M50 even with some cheap plastics and fewer buttons will become my next fav daily. You can’t go wrong, it’s just money differences and marginal subjective preferences….a $5k difference might mean a lot to you, and some people go nuts because of the spartan interior. But I can’t wait for the improved drivetrain, new steering wheel, improved suspension and better seats. I’ll wait for after market carbon fiber bits to improve the interior.
