all rumors point to a new iPad in march, now what will that be, no one really knows
I doubt is the next update just adds Siri, as they are already finished testing on Siri on the iPhone 4, so it looks like Siri will be added as part of iOS 5 at some point. iPad 3 (so called) is suppose to add a retina display but many stories of troubles in manufacturing lately. So unless you absolutely need an iPad, I would wait but I personally wouldnt have sold mine |

Get it now, sell it when they first announce the iPad 3. The common person won't know a new version is coming out.

I love my ipad 2 and use it constantly. I also see quite a few of the first gens on the train. I'm amazed, on my commute to the city, I would say more than half of the commuters have either a kindle or an ipad.

I've been debating getting one.... only as a tool to help motivate me to study more for the GMAT
There are some nice apps on the iPhone..but the screen can get small at times, especially when you want to actually work the problems out on the iPhone itself but also thinking I should wait for the 3... or buy a used 2..

Damn I checked craigslist, and people are freaking asking top dollar
$500 for a USED iPad 2 16 GB Wifi... "save tax" wtf? Best offer I saw was $470 for a sealed one with a case.... $30 savings and a case? wtf.... not worth it really...

I would just wait until the newer model comes out and either buy that or get an iPad 2 for cheap. |

If you really want one, I wouldn't think twice about picking up a refurbished one from Apple. I've never had a problem with their refurbished products, can never tell they've been used, and save some cash.
