Maybe sacrilegious to ask, but anyone know the MPG figures on this? I saw a German video that was talking about 6.9l per 100km, which would be about 34 mpg.

$20k when you're spending that money is negligible IMO...

i just downloaded the pdf spec sheet...it's base is almost the same as my 335i!
I mean ultimately I got the 335i for $47k, and it came with the nav/premium/tech, which was added on to your options (I wouldn't put in 997, for instance), but it looks like this is competing in the S4/335i segment from a pricing perspective...

Id never spend the money on this car there asking for, for a small car, and a 4 cyl engine if i was in the market for this car and segment.

Thanks for the info! I used to own a 2012 STi. Best I could manage was about 21mpg highway.

I always thought that the MPG for the car was pretty lackluster. I know the Mercedes cost about 20-30k more and probably has better technology like DI, but man, to me this just confirms that Subaru needs to step up the MPG on their performance line.

If Mercedes can muster that type of MPG from a more powerful, lower discplacement motor, what excuse does Subaru have? I can't imagine their AWD system is THAT more inefficient? And I can't believe that AWD in the Subie, vs. situational AWD in the Benz is worth 10mpg.

Yeah I suppose that's the point.

You're getting a hand-built AMG engine, beefier brakes, better suspension, Recaro seats, a dual-clutch transmission, and so forth . . . for the price of a loaded 335i.

So, in essence, you're getting better all-around performance for the same price as a non-M BMW. I think that was the mission.

I managed 7 mpg in a 2006 STI for a single tank.

Hopefully we get the A45 here in the States.

Unfortunately, most Americans (aside from the reasonable enthusiasts on this forum) find hot hatches and estate cars (lovingly referred to here as station wagons) repugnant.

I was at a local Benz dealer today with my brother and they had a red CLA 45AMG in the showroom. It looked good. VERY good in red. Much better in person then in pics and vids. the seats were very comfortable and nice steering wheel. Not fond of the nav screen. Looks like it was an afterthought, but you'd be an idiot to not get the car just for that reason.

I really need to test drive the CLA45. The only disappointing thing of the CLA is the FWD based AWD.

One of my track junkie friend that has a M3 and GTR test drove the new F-sport IS350 on the track at some Lexus event and said it handles like a mini GTR and is really pushing me into trying it out also. I have been waiting for Lexus to put another event similar to the one he went to so I can really see what he is talking about but all the professional reviews I have read so far say the IS350 handles like a beast.

I also really want to test the IS350 out too. The general consensus among reviewers over its handling have been very favourable and I was so surprised about it!

From what we can tell from the official press release, Carlsson simply installed a version of the Carlsson C-Tronic CB Plug & Drive module instead of the original ECU, making the all-wheel drive AMG version of the baby-CLS to develop no less than 450 hp.

If you're not very good with arithmetics but still want to know why that figure is more than impressive, you should learn that it translates into 225 hp per liter.

The car runs 26lbs of boost stock. Wow. Insane numbers.

I almost forgot when on power when you upshift it always gives a big BRRAAPP!!. that fun to hear from a 4.
Maybe it gains speed deceptively, CLA45 is faster to 60 than a CLS63 AMG which is around 4.2-4.3 second, which I haven't not seen any 328i achieve

I haven't had a chance to drive the is350 f-sport but did have a is250 standard for almost 5 days from the dealer. The 250 although down on power the new suspension, steering and transmission made it very fun to drive. The turn in is much much better than my second gen 350, it just turns where as I have to fight the steering to keep my line in check. There's rumor of a TT 6 cylinder in development, if they can fit that in the new ISF it will be a very attractive package. Can it finally catch the M3? Cannot wait to find out
