Weird e90 Electrical Problem
I had a problem where my key fob wouldn't lock/unlock the door of my car. I suspected it was a faulty fuse so I replaced the fuses (they were indeed burnt out). Then I turned the car back on and all my warning lights were on (abs/engine/seatbelt/airbag/4x4) and my windshield wipers wont turn off. The speedometer or any of the buttons on the steering wheel don't work, also the cruise control knob doesnt work, basically all my electronics on the dash and around aren't working.
I disconnected the battery for about 30-40 minutes and when I turned the car back on all the problems were still there. I know the door actuators go on these models but why does replacing one fuse cause all this? I need some serious help, don't know what to do which really sucks cause I got this 2009 E90 only 2 months ago Last edited by torontoe90owner; 04-27-2014 at 01:38 PM.. Reason: spelling/grammar |

So I know I have to replace the door actuator on the door. I assume I'll have to clear all the error codes too but will that even do anything? Seems like all the electronics need some sort of reset or whatever.
