Are they overpriced?

It all depends on what you value.

For our combination of "wants", once the new Targa was introduced we looked around and realized there simply was no substitute.

Cheaper, faster, more exotic, blah-blah... yeah. For real life fun? Worth every cent. Especially with a manual transmission.

Oh, this really is a basic supply-demand question. Analyze days of available inventory and you'll see there's quite a sufficient demand for Porsches even at Porsche prices... so the market seems to think they aren't too expensive... but they sure are expensive!

Porsche is like Disneyland. Keep raising the price because people like me are starting to be able to go.

I wouldn't say Porsche is overpriced. I would say Porsche is highly desirable and perhaps a bit overvalued. That's the consumers' fault, not the manufacturer's-- blame the masses for dreaming of owning a Porsche
