Yeah that's what I was leaning toward

I'm around 5'9" think a 9' rope is good.

Also, for how long will you continuously jump?
I mean, I'll play with the rope for about 15 minutes but after about 4 or 5 minutes (?) I'll pause for 30 seconds to a minute, how long continuously without pause but maybe a restart or two for a missed jump.

I mostly use it for double dutch...

Just order a 10' speed rope and cut it down in increments when you're testing it. It should be roughly to your armpits when you're standing on it. I only use it when I'm doing a CrossFit WOD so it's typically like 100-300 reps. Two years going and I still can't figure out double-unders.

Depends on the style of skipping you're doing.

If it's strictly double/triple unders- then I'd recommend RPM fitness Speed rope 3.0

If it's a freestyle rope- then definitely the long handle championship rope from buyjumpropes.net

<- boxed amateur growing up, so I've had my experiences with both. I use the latter of the two since I prefer to freestyle.
