Amelia Island Concours d'elegance, anyone been before?
I was looking into heading over to the Amelia Island Concours this coming March, and I was curious about what the experience is like? I see on their website that there is a free cars and coffee event on Saturday, March 7th, but the Concours on the following Sunday has a $100 entry fee. What would be the difference between the two events in terms of the cars I would get to see and is it worth it? I'm just looking for some insight before forking out a hundred bucks.

I know someone who goes for the auctions, i would not expect the same experience at the cars and coffee vs the
Concours where they cars would need to be in place and be from all across the country/world vs drivers that are probably local |

Many people, nonlocal, go for the auctions and to see some of the rarest and most valuable cars in the world, so thats the price to play. Anything u do today has a price, some pay hundreds or more to watch a sports event, others enjoy walking around and seeing sports cars, seems quite reasonable.

From my favorite movie, I'd love to have RINZLER, but some lame ass with a 2017 automatic V6 Camaro has the plate currently. Guess I would have to settle for RNZLR, it's just not nearly as cool. I would already have paid for the former one, if it were available.
Btw, Rinzler's colors are black and orange, fitting for the SO on my M2C. Thanks for the information. |

I guess its safe to say that no one here has been to Pebble Beach Concours b/c that's WAY more expensive than Amelia.

I guess it’s easy to discount experiences you haven’t had. Perhaps viewing hundreds of fine automobiles gathered in one location, peering inside the cars, and discussing the cars with the owners (and other enthusiasts) isn’t your cup of tea. Your loss.
