Took my sons on car tour including Lamborghini factory / museum in Sant'Agata Bolognese and Ferrari museums in Modena and Maranello
Guided tour of factory production lines (no robots) of Huracan. ($220k+ 13 per day builds) and Aventatdor ($527k. + 3 per day ). All production is sold a year in advance. Tour was enhanced by the lovely native voice of our knowledgeable guide. Great moments included when they did first start up of a new car after final assembly. Ferrari museums had more content. We say a Ferrari car in camouflage in Modena - it worked could not tell you which model it was. There were opportunities with near by establishments to drive Lamborghini and Ferrari cars for 200 - 600 euro (15-60 minutes ) I had previously driven F40 and F 50 on roads in Fl and 430 and 355 on tracks. So I passed and there are other track/ driving experiences including multi-day schools also. Some BMW s in Venice , Bologna and Modena but not many and no M cars. But it is winter. Maybe in Rome Worthwhile stops during family trip ( an error with attachment manager on other photos I will try again) Only 350 miles or 5 hours between Venice and BMW M factory in Munich Ciao! Europe is taking significant precautions, more than in US. Required testing prior to entering EU , Every shop, restaurant , museum asks for COVID "green pass" or vaccination card, and forehead digital temp taking prior to entering train platforms. People wear masks and social distance, dining is available outside. While not business as usual Italy is far from shut down. Spoke a little too soon - National strike today by transport labor - partially over COVID. Half of commuter trains trips cancelled today. Consider getting a booster shot prior to travel (not required). It has been a great experience and it is good to be traveling.

I was in Germany before the most recent shenanigans and it was very pleasant. Agree with the previous comments re testing and vax card. Indoor dining was easy in Germany and Slovenia. This was in late October. Test required before boarding return flight to USA.
