Painted Emblems
Has anybody painted their emblems or knows who paints them?
It’s for an E89. I’d like the boot ‘Z4’, the ‘sDrive35is’, and the LCI side flashers in red. There are places that paint the side flashers, but they don’t do the other emblems. There are vendors on eBay that sell coloured boot Z4 emblem, but they don’t do the other emblems. And obviously they need to be the same finish. No local body shop wants to do it. And I don’t have the skills. Any ideas? Thanks.

Buy new ones, take them to your body shop. I'll be they just didn't want to tackle the emblems already on the car.

Are you looking for a color matched red? Or just any shade of red to contrast the body color? If they don't need to be color matched, a DIY may be your best bet.
Prep would be key, and likely the reason a shop doesn't want to do it. If the emblems are chromed plastic, it's tough to get paint to stick. |

What about vinyl wrap? You may have better luck with that type of shop taking this on. Though I imagine cost would be on the high side for what you're getting. Or if you try to DIY wrap, it's easy to reverse if you don't like it

I’m really looking for professionally painted. I know it’s done because of the black Z4 and the indicator. It’s just a matter of finding the right shop. There’s a woman nearby that paints helmets. I’m going to phone her.

Thinking outside the box, perhaps someone who specializes in model cars/trains/airplanes?

Good thinking. It has to be the type of painting that works in the elements and speed. Hence why I was thinking helmet designers. I’ve touched base with the woman from one county north. We’re going to speak in more details tomorrow.
