BUT, I just think the M-performance buyers are just different than full-on M buyers…and this applies across their lines. M-performance should be able to have similar power, but more street tuned. That would open up M to be more track focused/lighter/purer. Maybe this just applies to me…that's how I've felt about it after my M50i engines. Amazing power to drive, and still super comfortable with the family. |

Well…. I'm more about throttle control, so don't care too much about shifting often, which is why I love that S58: Grunt in any gear Also a fan of winding it out in 2nd and going right into 4th and chillin' (This is not a manual vs auto thread, so, no offense)

was racing someone up a steep hill on the weekend, it was accelerating in 6th gear (m340i touring) and when i saw 100mph i backed out as didn't want to go to jail. when i looked back the honda civic was gone. but yeah more gears means more rev.
though i just had a thought. i have a 300 hp/300 ft lb subaru with CVT. currently makes no sound, super quiet exhaust. if i deleted everything and bolted the loudest exhaust i can find, i can have WOT in 6000rpm from 0-100, no gear change. 6000rpm all the way. hmm ... |

Bmw 3 series
I found this post about the 2023 BMW 3 SERIES to be extremely informative and interesting. I really enjoyed reading about the 340i's new look. I learned a lot about the automobile and what to anticipate thanks.
