New USA EV Tax Credits starting 1/1/2023

Does anyone have any info on if any of the BMW PHEV or full electric vehicles will be eligible in 2023? The new rules state 50% of the battery materials must come from the US or their trade partners (i.e. not from China) but BMW has not provided any info on this at all...

I have a new 2023 330e on order and from talking to BMW customer service it sounds like its hopeless at this point that it will be delivered before the end of the year, so I'm trying to figure out if I'm screwed regarding the credit or not (I'm eligible on all the other factors, its battery material that is still a question...)

It is extremely unlikely that any BMWs will qualify for any portion of the tax credit in 2023.

common sense says no car over $50k should qualify for ANY credit which would knock BMW out of any credits as it should be

Learning that the new IRS “clean vehicle” rules state that in order to qualify as an SUV the vehicle MUST have a 3rd row. This is really going to hurt the Mustang Mach e and Cadillac Lyriq.

This has now basically become a shit show of confusion mixed with complete government ineptitude.
