2022 x3 bimmerfest alpha 1 speakers
I have a new '22 X3 Msport and just had bimmerfest Alpha 1 speakers put in, not their amp as they are out of stock so instead I got a mosconi amp. Got the install at a place that bimmerfest recommends and the shop does tons of these speakers. I drove the car home and noticed two things that apparently are related; 1.) the front speakers are buzzing even when car is off and 2.) the turn signal sound and warning sounds are amplified. The shop contacted bimmerfest tech support got the email back how to resolve the issue but isn't working so the shop is waiting to actually speak with someone.
My question is...has anyone experienced this with their X3 especially year 22? |

Per many folks who have upgraded HiFi amps to something else: Blinkers, Synthetic Engine Sound, and "dings" will all be louder relative to the music when an aftermarket amp is installed. My guess is that the admin sounds are coded to a set level based on the OEM spec'd amplifier's output. That part is expected - the hum/buzz... not so much.
I don't know if anyone has figured out how to change the admin sound level, but I suspect it is a litigious issue to change the system level of warning notifications. |
