My friend and I parked his X3M next to my X3 M40 at a Cars & Coffee and had to work hard to find the visual differences between the two.

it's clear as day to spot the difference b/w an X3M vs M40i if ur an enthusiast. of course, if ur not into cars, u wouldn't see the difference.

Edit: ID9 is stated at the 18:05 mark of this video:

I think you misread his post, he said it will be getting the iD8 dash which means the single curve screen. It will be using iD9 from what I have seen.
