I like the styling. Its not an beautiful as the last model but its more sleek and aerodynamic for sure. I am interested in seeing the regular grill. The interior gives me some pause. I hope they have another material option. I wonder if they are going to have more ambient lighting throughout. The lights look they are 3 places in the interior and the glc has much more intricate leds throughout.

I like the ambient lighting bars. I dislike the cheapening of the door panels. No more trim and just a sea of plastic on all the doors.
In the 5/i5 they removed the seat back nets. I guess they found it in the budget to include them here Exterior is a nice evolution. Looks better than GLC and NX.

Exterior overall is not bad, i do like the rear and side profile, not the biggest fan of the new front lights and not a fan of how the bottom middle part of the front bumper separates.
Interior is a JOKE on the other hand… It looks so cheap! Absolutely not happy about the lack of trim material on the front dash and door panels. Looks so plain and cheap. And no ambient lighting on the rear passenger door panels |

Does the car in that video have the panoramic glass roof? If so, I'm surprised that it doesn't seem to make much difference in the feel of the interior.

Agreed the interior sucks so bad. My Tesla has a more interesting dashboard. F*ck.

The grill lights up, they keep drawing attention to these horrid things. The rest of the car isn't awful, hopefully you can turn the grill lights off. I prefer the current model, but this isn't nearly as terrible as many of BMW's other current offerings.

BMW is cheapening/moving down-scale its interiors, just when Merc is moving things much more upscale in its middle- and lower-end cars. This does not look like a "special" car to sit in. Did anyone notice any front cupholders? I don't see any between the front seats.
Edit: I see the cupholders now - directly in front of the wireless phone charger. Not so sure about that placement! Also, it looks like the headlight controls are now placed at the end of the turn signal stalk. First placement like that in a BMW, I believe.

I like the sides and rear. Not a fan of the front end. Looks too plastic and deliberately oversized. Overall, the outside looks decent and likely will look better in person once you can see the finer details.
The interior looks like a cost cutting exercise with additional led lighting to try to make it appear modern. I will reserve my final opinion until seeing it first hand with the seat covering that I would specify, but there is no way I would accept cloth type fabric on upper door panels and the dashboard. The video shows a version with a fixed roof panel. Hopefully an actual moonroof is also available as that would be another show stopper for me. It seems like BMW is trying to go more “Tesla style” with this interior. That is the wrong direction. Sure, Tesla shifted the industry with their EV drivetrain, but very few would choose a Tesla interior over a BMW. The interior will likely result in me not ordering a new X3 when I replace my X3 M40 later this year. |

The Tesla felt way too sterile for me - way too minimalist. There wasn't even a traditional speedometer behind the steering wheel. Instead it was in a corner of the large center touchscreen. I hated it. What are you considering as you look to replace your X3 later this year? I'm looking at this X3, possibly an X5, or a Macan ICE or EV. |

Same. I think they obviously cheapen the interior. Where is the led lighting in the back? This recycle plastic mesh looks similar to the new camry dashboard trim. How come the cup holders in the back are jut rectangle cuts out with no push to open lid?
At least we keep the back seat storage nets!! I want to know if we are finally getting a power steering wheel. The one bright side, it seems to have seat heating or ventilation controls on the door. |

For me I really liked the pre LCI g01 and f97. It had the hard body lines of traditional BMWs and I loved the semi digital analog dash. This new direction of soft body lines and buttonless interiors don't do it for me

Here is a hands on video that shows the XLine and M50. Also shows interior without that cheap material covering the dash/doors. |
