No More Sdrive

Would love to hear your thoughts about no Sdrive for the new 2025 BMW X3. I prefer rear wheel drive and am a little disappointed.

SDrive on mine. Just another reason to grab one of the last 2024 G01 before they are all sold.

Those of us located above the snow belt aren’t going to miss it a whole lot.

Here the G01 was only available with Xdrive, so the G45 not offering Sdrive won’t be missed or even noticed.

Absolutely get and accept your point. It is the most effective setup for winter.

But, for my 4 decades in and around the metro Detroit area, I preferred the other three seasons with RWD (the "push" feels better to me) and switching to a set of Blizzak WS for winter that gave me the same safety of braking/turning from winter tires and enough motive traction never to get stuck. But, if outside areas where roads were reasonably plowed, agree that XDrive can provide an noticeable advantage.
