Hello everyone,

I am the proud owner of a brand new X3 M50 here. A little after two weeks of use I have started noticing the car was very whiny on acceleration mostly lower gears. So instead of the growl I hear the car make on youtube I have this god awful sound and it is tearing my soul... I have since went down the B58 engine whine rabbit hole and found the ZF8 gearbox could be the culprit. Has anyone experience something similar?

Could it be related to the electric motor, which I think is now integrated into the ZF unit, and operates more like a PHEV ?

Also, is it a “real sound” or could it be artificially generated via ASD electronics through the speakers ?

The sound is very real and still present when I shut the ASD off
