Just 75miles, and the Passenger Restraint System light is already on
Got my X3 M50 for even less than a week, and now I already see the Passenger Restraint System malfunction warning on my screen, and now have to bring this bad boy back to the dealer again for service. So sad.

Out of curiosity... did you happen to get your front passenger seat wet somehow? I remember reading that the sensor in the seat mat can sometimes get damaged by spills or very wet clothes.

Nope, no wet on any seat, turns out it was the back seat which I put the car seat onto for my baby gave me the warning, and the services guys was just like “this car is too new, we don’t really have a clue what is going on, we checked every thing and all good, so we cleared the warning for you, if this happens again come back again.” And then I was discharged.

Interesting. That's unsettling, but glad the techs checked the sensors and didn't find anything obviously amiss.
Which position (left, middle, right) did you put your car seat in? I put my infant car seat in the middle and haven't encountered any problems so far. But it's also only been less than 2 weeks for me. |

Right side it is. And another update, after about 50 miles of driving the exactly same warning comes up again, I will go to the services tomorrow again and will try to update you in this post.

Middle seat is statistically safest for protection from side impacts, then right, and lastly, left, in left hand drive countries due to how intersecting traffic approaches.
