Tacoma vs Ridgeline

can't decide.

Both V6, 4wd, double cab. Ridgeline is about a grand more not enough to matter.

We're getting a truck for the family, to move shit around and go out and shit. Not going to do any hardcore offroading, but mainly a DD for my dad and I'll take it to go boarding every once a while, and maybe a little median duty offroad camping once a blue moon.

I was originally dead set on the Tacoma because I think it looks better ie. "manlier" and less like a loaf of bread.
But I was passing a Honda dealership today and was like WTF I'll give the ridgeline a shot.

O man...its a pretty sweet truck man. A bit roomier on the interior, seems less cheap on the material also. Rides like a SUV and not like a truck (which is good). The hide away truck bed is pretty awesome as well.

However, the Tacoma looks better (IMO) less bulky and doesn't look like a loaf of bread. Better acceleration, probably due to less weight and 10 more HP. And I have the choice of getting the 4 banger to save more money and gas.

Iono, kinda stuck.

Absolutely the Tacoma if you are looking for opinions. No contest.

Tacoma hands down, it's really a TRUCK not some uni-body crap. I saw a ridgeline get hit by another truck and it was demolished. Not to mention the Tacoma looks way better, has a better engine and is ten times more off-road capable.

Tacoma will last for 100 years. The Ridgeline will not.

+1 The Ridgeline is nothing, but an Odyssey with a truck bed.... literally( it's on the same platform).

I'd go with the Tundra, but between these two it's definitely the Tacoma.

I owned a Ridgeline prior to getting my BMW and if you are looking for a DD, my vote is the Ridgeline. It is the most comfortable truck you will ever drive. There are always people who will go against the Ridgeline as they consider it not to be a "real" truck, but do yourself a favor and buy the truck that is going to fit your needs and make an informed decision. Don't not buy the Ridgeline because other people say not to. Also, if you are looking to get inside info visit www.ridgelineownersclub.com , it is a great forum and you can get a good idea of what other people are paying. If you have any questions just PM me and I am happy to answer them. Good Luck.

I am a proud new owner of a tacoma (2x4 2.7L 4 banger nothing fancy) and I love it for DD and for light weight hauling. I love the Tacoma built in bedliner. Good quality truck.
