VW IS SUPER LUCKY...
.....that I'm not running sh!t. I would temporarily end the sale of new GTI/Rabbits in the U.S. Its time for the Scirocco. Yes, I understand how much of a dedicated following the Golf platform has. I just dont care for how it looks. My first car was a Veedub so I'm always looking forward to seeing them do well. Too bad the Scirocco isnt coming here(for now). Cannibalization of sales would be an obvious concern. Anyhow, without further delay:
Slap a nice TDI engine in that and wham!!! 45-50mpg. http://www.worldcarfans.com/9080228.014/fi...cco-photos-leak

Gotta say... that is a gorgeous looking car. Give AWD and a powerful engine and that would be a hell of a car.

I know right. It looks a lot like the Volvo C30 but not as funky. They REALLY need to bring it. The GTI dosent do it for me man.

My thought on it is simple...
Why doesn't VW bring it across the pond, and call it a MK6 GTI??...:iono: Correct me if I'm wrong but it's based on the same platform as the golfs/rabbits, so why not?...then we'd get the sexy new styling, the power and price it deserves, and they wouldn't have to worry about sacrificing their precious "GTI" nameplate... On a sidenote, while on Vacation in Cancun for the last week I spotted 2 1-series...the 1 I got a a good look at it, it was the Hatchback, and I must say the hatch version wasn't nearly as fugly as pictures lead me to believe...the size of the car was good too...the coupes are gonna niiice when they get here |

This should work out well for me. I would be surprised if they don't bring it which means it would be here in about a year. Perfect timing. Just, please oh please give us a good engine. I am not a fan of the GTI turbo and the R32's V6 is underpowered. Oh, and price it reasonably...

BTW, two more pictures have shown up on Top Gear's site:
http://www.topgear.com/content/news/stories/2664/ I don't like the interior. It looks exactly like a Golf's and I hate it when an interior does not have at least an ounce of originality.

Only option was Premium Package (which, for 07s, brought dual-pane panoramic sunroof, multi-function steering wheel w/ cruise, and automatic A/C). Otherwise, Pepper White w/ Black roof, and Carbon Black leatherette.
