2010 Taurus doesn't look too bad, hope for American after all?

I'm not a real big fan of a few of the styling elements, mainly the pinched looking back end and how the whole car seems to be pretty thick at the back. I like a more squared body rather than the wedge shape you see in a lot of cars these days. I'd also like to see the fenders rolled a bit better; one gripe I've always had about American cars is how much gap there is in the wheel arches. Compare the Taurus's gap to an equivalently priced Japanese or Euro vehicle and you'll see what I mean. They just don't fill out the wheel wells very nicely as if they put really tall springs on it because they cut the suspension development budget. Which they probably did.

Still, nice powertrain options. Maybe its just what middle America will want to purchase on the way out of the recession.
