The point I am trying to make is that LED's last longer and shouldn't burn out as easily. LED's last longer and don't burn as easily, that's the point I am trying to make. You shouldn't have to replace them because there is supposedly no need to because they are suppose to last so long. What if they made them Bi-Xenon? That would work too.

Eh, not sure if I agree with that. I've had quite a few BMWs, none of which exhibited anywhere close to the number of the electrical and mechanical gremlins that a quick pass through of A5OC would reveal. If I were to lease, I could live with it, since their cars really do look quite nice. But to finance? Out of warranty repairs, no thanks.

This is an original pic from Audi, but it looks worse in reality. Apparantly it's the new facelift A6, I've seen many drive around in Germany already.

Looks like Audi decided to put something like that into the headlights

well they've done it right so many times. they look great on the A4/S4, A5/S5 and R8. even the Q5 looks good with them. they botched it up on the TT and A6/S6 though.

straight lines look cheap and tacked-on. at least incorporate it into the headlight design in some way that creative.

Never said that BMW's reliability is superior, but the fact is that Audi's electronics poop out after a couple years. If your angel eyes are dead, you can just change it out since it's a standard H8 bulb. If one of the LEDs crap out on you, you're stuck with a full replacement headlight.

Sorry, I don't fully understand your long, convoluted rant.

In theory, LEDs last longer than a regular halogen bulb. I'm just playing the devil's advocate here on what if one of the LEDs burnt out. Each time you would have get the headlight replaced. I don't have the time to go into the stealer like that to get the stupid headlight replaced every time one of those LEDs burn out. Also, it's highly like that Audi will end refurbishing the burnt out lights and recycle them as warranty parts.

What I was trying to say was, could BMW make Corona rings Bi-Xenon? They would be brighter, long lasting, and a whole lot more sexy in blue.

Typing in class FTL.

I think that Audi messed up the A6's lights cause it was a facelift. Looking at my A6's lights i find it difficult to add in LEDs that aren't in a straight line. The lights don't seem to have any shape besides being rectangular, unlike the A4/A5/R8 models. Making the LEDs flow better would probably me redoing the headlight.

square but not straight on square like the A8 or the A6.

On the A4, A5, they are angled slightly upwards.

Not to mention with the current set up of the lights on the A6, there doesnt seem to be any good place for it, unless you modify the entire light.
