Datsun 510 anyone?
Ok I was going to post in the FS wanted section but it doesn't post across the boards... SO!! I was curious.
Does anyone out there have a 1969-1973 Datsun 510 2 door with a manual trans? I have been looking for a while and most are already fixed up and people are asking over $5000 complete. I am looking for a project car to build now that I have a little bit of time on my hands. If anyone knows of one or has one for sale or just wants it out of their hands please shoot me a PM Here's what I'm kinda looking for.... maybe not in that good of shape of course but just for the people that don't know what I'm talking about. Thanks all ~Adan

for years I'll randomly look for a 510 to hopefully score. they're hard to find in the condition you want. most are either fully race-built, or are incomplete hack jobs. good luck....def a beautiful classic.

Where do you live? or where are these junk yards? I've been looking in my local yards... but we only have 2 and no luck

My wife, then G/f at that time had the 4 door version...
All I can say it had the most expensive brakes to overhaul and replace. Most of the parts you could only get from Datsun, I use to do my mustang brakes for under $100 at the time and that Damn thing cost me $400. I told the G/F I'll do your brakes no problem. Had to marry her to make sure I got my money back... I hope it is a different story today. |
