i figured it would run OS something, just saying that in recent years Apple has started making their programs work with MS stuff.

Well I was just saying the other day I was looking for a phone to replace my SK3, and it looks like this it. I wonder if you can download AIM and use the cingular network for it like the sidekick?

I agree as beautiful as it is that the screen could get scratched easily. Unfortunatly, I'll have to wait to June to find out!!!

Great job, Apple!

I'm sure they have something to prevent that.
Best way to avoid scratches is to get a clear plastic screen cover for like five bucks and keep replacing that if it becomes too scratched up.

Apple is the shiet!!! Ever since i got my ibook g4 last year... I will never go back to pc again...haha.
I guess i'll use my 30g ipod video as back up or sync it with itv for home entertainment purposes. Sweet! And Hopefully we can use iphone with idrive.

Anywayz anyone know if this release date of june 2007 is for us residents only? And i wonder if cingular is joint to any phone companies in canada. (Roger/Bell/Telus?)

I WANT ONE SO BAD.

Ahhh...even with the fancy-dancy touchscreen technology?!? I'd be surprised if a plastic screen didn't interfere with the touchscreen.

I've been a Mac guy since about 1994. I was thrilled then, and still am today. It's great to see others experience the joy of truly innovative design. That's always been Apple Inc.'s strong suit, and they sure hit a home run today with the iPhone.

It's expensive now. New things from Apple usually are in the beginning. Price will come down as ppl buy them. Not strong on the PC files as of right now, but it wouldn't surprise me if the ability were an add on in the near future. To me, the biggest glaring omission was that there was no true PDA to speak of. Perhaps that will be the big thing for Rev.B of the iPhone?

Either way, Congratulations to Apple. This thing rocks.

I have treo with a protective clear type vinyl screen protector and it doesn't interfere with the touchscreen. I'm assuming that a protective screen would affect the iphone either.

I like it.... I waaaaant it

Watched the whole keynote over the web today, was thinking, glad my car has bluetooth, so it can be in the iPod interface and bluetoothing to the car phone system at the same time!

It was moments like this today that made me realise why I have always been an Apple man.
