Why not? Craigslist is meant for local transactions which is far less sketchy than sending an anonymous paypal transfer over the interwebz. I sold my VW for $19,000 on Craigslist and my G35 Coupe on ebay for $33,000. I'm not sure why a high dollar item would be much different than picking up a used piece of furniture. It's still a face to face transaction and if it seems shady just don't buy it.

Iono i mean.. i don't mean cause it'd be shady just that if i was going to spend 400k on a car, I don't think I'd be on CL... just my .02 but then again, i don't have that money yet, so maybe when I do, I'll go on CL? lol

If the transaction took place on craigslist, sight-unseen, then yeah that would be shady.
However, I'm sure the deal would be done locally, and it's not like they're trying to lure you into a trap. I'm pretty sure they know you wouldn't show up with a briefcase full of green. |

for 400k, I'd rather get a lambo, a ferrari, a GTR, and a M3
though it might end up being a bit more haha
