so I did Zero G last month and I was wondering if there are others on this board who has experienced it?

there I am floating

one of the coolest experiences ever
I did it in Boston but when I do it again, I will attempt it when they go to Cape Canaveral (the Kennedy Space Center)

truly amazing thing to do

it goes for approx 5,500$USD
you're weightless for 30 seconds 15 times so a total of 7 mins 1/2
30 seconds isn't as long as you think, and it isn't as short as you think.. then you climb back up at a rate of 1.8g
the entire flight is around 2hrs.. by the time they take u up, set up the cameras, get to the right altitude, do the parabolas, and then land again...
the price is extremely fair...

there are also like 1minute breaks between every 4-5 parabolas

edit:
the first 3 parabolas are not 0g
the first 2 are martian gravity, and the 3rd is lunar (you can do the moon walk.. really cool) to help you get used to it.. and believe me it is fun.. martian gravity was my favorite

If I had $5Gs layin around sure I would want to do it, it looks sweet... But I could probably find a couple different things to spend the money on that would last alittle longer

Or you could go rent a cessna for 3 hours and save $5000. Heck you could get your pilots license and rent the cessna and still save a few thousand.

Edit: oh bierut. Nvm then that may not be an option

Did a 10-week stint at NASA Houston in '96. I helped set up a low-G experiment on the Vomit Comet. I heard stories of some people getting violently ill after the first parabola and having to suffer through 40 of them (20 out, 20 back). That would have been me. No stomach for that stuff.

I don't see how your edit is valid? we don't have cessnas? I just passed my medical for my pilot's license today.. and I'll be learning on a cessna..

also, go rent a cessna and let go of the controls while in a parabola.. let's see how much fun that is... :/

+ cessnas can't got up to 40,000 feet AFAIK? so you can't go up to 40,000 and drop to 17,000 for 30 seconds.
