I deactivated mine. I realized that it had been causing many problems for me and my girlfriend. Girls/ex's writing on my wall, sending me personal messages, "poking" me, having Facebook chat, etc. My girlfriend deleted hers because whenever she signed onto her Facebook all she would do is go onto my profile and get upset seeing people writing on my wall. She asked me multiple times to delete it in the past and I refused. I explained that I mostly had it for contacts when I open another business in the future, but decided to succumb for the mean time to make her happy.

There are security settings to handle that Or you could just delete your ex's from your friend list...

Dude you know you can just nuke your ex's from your friends list. Or just make it so they can't write on your walll/see your pics.

Yea that would probably be bad since we are living together.

Well I gave her my password so she would be more at ease, but if she were to log on and see that I "privatized" certain things from her, yea she would probably be livid.

They're talking about making it private from your ex's, not your current girl.

I just changed my friends email used for his fb, because your email gets all posts and messages sent to it. His ex knew his email and did a password change and changed it to what she wanted and bam she had access. I fixed it though
