Potentially lost weight... weighed in 161.4lbs, but I think I look bigger. My appetite has been off for a few days due to return travel/sudden change in routine back to normal. I also wasn't drinking enough water on my trip.

hey new guy in this thread. Have been back to lifting for the last year after a few years off. Started at 225lbs and dropped to 170bs. I then bulked and am currently sitting at around 190lbs. Want to drop about 5-8lbs of fat still so I can see abs clearly.
Final goal is to be around 200-210. |

My 15yo son wants to start going to the gym. I allowed him to go to the HS gym the second week of summer to work with the coach we thought would have the JV team next year. The guy just didn't seem to know what to do with a kid who has never been to the gym before. The next day my son couldn't walk (literally). Coach had him in there a full 2 hours, and kept slapping plates on the rack and pushing him to exhaustion on each set. I want to go in with him, make sure he does things with good form before trying to add weight. Then it gets him (safely) into the gym and me just into the gym. |

My son plays left field and catcher though. . .
Still, easily ruins a kid, and I think my son was actually hurt because it's been YEARS since we had to put in a pinch-runner for him, and we did that Saturday. |

Make sure he has ample time to recover. Stretching is important as is nutrition. |

@954Stealth and @Sedan_Clan
Due to my schedule, the only time i can hit up the gym is around 8:30pm. Question: Is it a good idea to do some morning cardio (mainly pull ups and v ups) and then go to the gym at night and do heavy weights? OR Should i just do the cardio when i'm in the gym at night. Thanks.

Weekend updates: "Jane you ignorant slut"
Ran the track again on Saturday,, test is next week. 200 meters in 38.5 (under 40) and 50m in 8.7 (under 9) The lizard actually protected me Saturday. If I had kept running the extra unwind laps, my blood sugar would have been lower than the 55 it was at when I got home. |

Some would argue that having both a morning and an evening session would be an added benefit for fat loss since you'll have two output sessions, two peaks and thereby should keep your metabolism higher. Ultimately it is about overall intake and output. Split it up if you want to, you'll be fine. and re: @Sedan_Clan 's comment: I agree 100%...if you want to do a morning cardio session do some CARDIO. Maybe a quick HIIT session to get the day started. Save the pullups and "stuff" for the evening session. |

Quick question guys,
Before I get bashed for asking people on the interest advice on a medical issue, please note that I am just looking for opinions, if you all would be so kind! So, I noticed blood coming from my belly button. In it, you can see there are red dots, so I originally thought it was a simple infection. But, it went away, and came back this week. Now I'm starting to think it has to do with weightlifting, specifically ab exercises. I recently started picking up ab workouts, where I work my abs pretty hard. Although the results have been terrific thus far, I hate the blood seeping out, and of course, it's a sign of my body telling me something's not right. My question is, has anyone else experienced something similar? Obviously most of you guys have been lifting for quite some time, so there might be a chance that someone has had a similar issue. Just carious is all, I know I should go see a doctor. If it doesn't go away, I will go see my doctor soon. Thanks! |

Weighed at the Dr. this morning: 195. Better than I thought.
Belly button, do you have an innie or an outie? IF an outie, you may be aggravating the hernia. |

I may be out on a limb with this one, but I think the issue was due to Casein protein. I started taking Casein protein the same time the first time this issue came about. Stopped, it cleared up. Started back up again, more blood from my belly button. Plus that goopy crap always used to do a number on my stomach and cause cramps. Now if I can just figure out why my forearms won't grow. |

139 as of the other day. Haven't been working out. Stressed out between work and my SO constantly battling each other over frivolous things. Completely stripped any determination I had to get back into the gym. Feel like doodoo.

It's had a huge impact on myself and my motivations to be better. I've given everything I have for this person, and to be berated and talked down on? The gym has been far from my mind the past couple weeks. It sucks. |
