Ya man. That was a bummer. The show is trying to "loosely" follow some of the actual historical elements of these characters. In reality Ragnar's sons become more "famous" then he ever was from what I understand.

Still a good show but definitely lost something when he died.

Just watched the first episode of Season 2 of Goliath. Really liked it, but I note the comment above that the season isn't as good as S1. Started into Brockmire ... it's different, but pretty good.
+1. The Wire is the best series I've ever seen.

I've tried watching The Wire a bunch of times over the years and just can't get into it. Same for Deadwood. Everyone else seems to love them but they just don't do much for me.

There's The Wire and then everything else. What a show. I must have seen it through at least 5 times. Just as good each time. Season 4 is the best for me.

Gotta love Snoop.

I know how that goes. I have a number of shows I feel I should like and everyone raves about but I just cannot get into them. "Man in the High Castle", "Peaky Blinders", and "Mr. Robot" for example.

"The Wire" definitely starts off a bit slow and is super dated at this point. But if you're over 35 it probably still resonates.

I am one who likes "Deadwood" but it unfortunately was rushed at the end due to cancellation. Same with "Rome" which is another great HBO show I have not seen mentioned.

"Oz" is also good. Pretty much anything on HBO from the mid 90s to late 2000s.

We actually enjoyed quite a bit and are looking forward to the second season. It's a good watch.
