I assumed that it was because of an exhaust valve, but it wasn't just cleaner it was unmarked, and the other one looked awful. maybe just a consequence of having a car like that in bay area traffic I guess.... sad to see

Didn't get a pic but was just picking up mine from BMW San Francisco and saw a guy with a 325i who had a full E9X M3 body kit (minus the front fenders, which was tell #1) with a carbon trunk and carbon hood (complete with fake bulge).
Had the M3 rear bumper with the stock 325i exhaust, which looked really dumb since you literally can't even see the exhaust. Repainted an awful shade of electric blue and the carbon was left as is, shitty knockoff wheels with spacers, etc. The tech (who drives an M3, and was taking care of mine) was laughing with me while we completed my invoice. Truly a hideous machine. Body panel fitment was garbage, as you would imagine, despite having a ton of expensive carbon pieces. Easily 10k+ in work (or more) to pretend he has a car that costs in the mid 20s... Needless to say, a strange choice. |

It could also be a M spec 3xxi with the M3 mirrors added... E36 is harder to tell as the run of the mill M Spec looks almost identical due to not having wider wheel arches like all other generations. |
