I can't wait to see the battle next week. I'm curious to see how it goes down as the previews make you think that the bolton army is doing just fine and they do pan to john whom in the shot looks disappointed.

I think episode, it was nice to see the zombie mountain rip apart the one dude. Then later in the episode only see the high sparrow is one step a head by ending jury by battle.

I think that the mountain's action brought upon the decision to end trial by combat. However, I felt like all of those radicals should've been killed while fleeing rather than just that one dude.

what a whack ass episode. Arya's whole timeline was just a waste in Braavos. Tyrion was just killing time the whole season. Only exciting character this season was Bran, who has been MIA for like 2 episodes now.

The Sparrow probably "convinced" Tommen to end the trial by combat option because he knew the Mountain is bad ass.

Or Margaery did (possibly in conjunction with the Sparrow). There is most definitely a rivalry between Cersei and Margaery. I think Margaery is much wiser siding with the Sparrow, makes her appear more "righteous" than Cersei who keeps digging herself a deeper hole.

Margaery is definitely playing the Sparrow. I'd like to see someone kill that guy. That whole storyline is just annoying.

The past couple of episodes have been building up a few characters for the big finale and to carry over into next season:

Sansa is beginning to assert herself instead of being a subservient "queen" the past few seasons
Margaery is playing the Sparrow and has a plan...she is sneaky as fuck
Arya has found herself and will return home to help her family
Jon Snow is slowly coming around to being a leader after going off to the Nights Watch and guarding The Wall...an education the past couple of years for him to develop it seems
Dany has been a bad-ass already, she just needs to get the side of the world where the wars are being fought

Bran has immense power that we don't even know about yet and will be a focus next season, that's why he has been absent the past two episodes
Theon and his sister are coming with their ships to join Dany, don't sleep on them yet

Once Ramsey takes it in the ass from Jon Snow (Snow may lose though) then we're all set up for next season....

Based on the preview, you know it will. It looks like things won't go well for Team Snow but it could just be the way the preview was cut. I'm also guessing Yara and Theon show up in time to help dispatch the Masters to aid their desire to join Dany et co (not that a dragon couldn't burn down all the ships).

Finally some Zombie Mountain action! Tbh, I was hoping he'd tear thru the whole lot of them, but twas a good start.

Anyone dissapointed in how the battle of Riverrun went down. I was hoping for another surprise death, killing Jamie. I think it would have been interesting to see what Cersi would have done after losing the last person she connected with now that Tommen is in the High Sparrow's pocket.

That's exactly how it played out in the books, except that monologue that Jaime gave to Edmure is considerably more chilling to read than the one in the show... however, the Blackfish escapes in the books. Granted, we never actually saw his body on the show either

If GoT has been consistent in anything, it's that no one is dead until you actually see their head roll, and sometimes not even then.
