They are not identical twins. Although both are beautiful, are they even the same breed?

He's just a pound kitty-- no special breed.

I don't have any other good pictures, but they do look very similar.

Will F36Donut tell us what breed Axel is? Or is he a mixed breed, like so many cats, including mine. That last pic above of Axel is very majestic.

Well, today's our last day with the kittens. Tomorrow they go to the vet and from the vet's they'll go to the rescue to be put up for adoption. It's at this time I'm told I'm known as the "foster failure"...very tough to let them go.

Honestly don't know, we got him from a rescue. Our vet said he could be a Chartreux/Manx mix. Manx cats don't have tails and believe it or not Axel's sisters just had a little stub, no tails.

Nice that you got him from a rescue. Purebreds are great but they are in demand and are easily adopted. The ones we need to get are the ones from a rescue/shelter. I have had cats my whole life and I always get them from my local shelter. Axel looks so special I just assumed he was a purebred. Of course all cats are beautiful and special in their own way.

Here's my girl Sam.

Thanks for asking.
Right now she's recovering from being spade (and missing her kittens but doing fine). Incredibly, a neighbor just down the road from us has stepped up and decided to adopt her. They'll be perfect for her and the big plus...she won't have to go to the shelter (kittens are way more adoptable than a two year old).

That's great to hear. Yes, adult cats are harder to get adopted so that is wonderful of your neighbor. I was just looking at the pic of her and she looks very sweet.

Our current cat was an adult when we adopted her (two years old). She's 11 now and I hope she lives a very long time. We love her and I know she love us too.

PS - who knows how long she would have been in the shelter if we wouldn’t have adopted her, or if she would’ve ever made it out.

Our last cat was an unwanted 3yr old rescue...she was wonderful and lived to 19.

More people need to do what we do; adopt the adults. The kittens (and puppies) will almost always be adopted.
