What really has not been addressed by the media and Environmentalists is the huge negative impact of EVs.
1 - The actual mining of rare earth metals needed for these batteries. 2 - The electric grid that powers EVs is done by coal and in some places natural gas. The amount powered by wind/solar is a drop in the bucket. Also it doesn’t solve the issues of the main transportation pollutants - Cargo ships, cruise ships, private yachts, planes, private jets, trucks, heavy duty equipment etc. We are turning the whole auto industry upside down without any meaningful data that shows long term environmental improvements. It’s all a play to make $$$ and regular folks will suffer the burden due to higher purchase costs for new vehicles, higher energy costs (gas and electricity) and eventually higher registration costs for EVs to make up for loss of gas tax. Sad that people are too preoccupied to see what’s happening and the ones that point this out are ridiculed for being against climate change. |

The real elephant in the room is the impact on the petrochemical industry. Fuels and chemicals distilled from crude oil are created at fixed ratios to one another. The ratios are not simply or easily or cheaply changed. The ratios are fixed by the design of the distillation infrastructure. A chemical plant just can't decide to make 50% gasoline, 15% jet fuel, and 30% diesel from a barrel of oil one day, then the next day make 30% gasoline, 25% jet fuel, and 40% diesel. So if the wealthy want to fly their private jets to Davos to have a climate summit, the ratio of jet fuel distilled still to get there nets the same amount of gasoline out of the barrel of crude used to make the jet fuel. The eventual economic impacts are going to be severe. |

It's amazing the Green cult fails to understand the massive quantity of products produced from Petrochemicals.
The Petrochemical Products Flow Chart Efthreeoh is completely correct that from a barrel of oil the ratios of derivatives from crude oil are somewhat fixed. So you can't just refine crude for everything but gasoline. Last edited by Car-Addicted; 09-15-2023 at 05:33 PM.. |

https://www.slashgear.com/1375535/5-...nes-bmw-built/ "BMW has a long-established reputation for making dependable, durable vehicles. Last year's Consumer Reports owner satisfaction survey placed BMW third among all manufacturers for the model years 2000-2022 in terms of reliability. Part of the reason BMW has been able to build and keep such a faithful following among its drivers has been the steadily evolving lineup of powerful and trustworthy engines the Munich-based automaker has been producing since the 1970s."

A review on Electromagnetic fields (EMFs) and the reproductive system
Many studies have shown that electromagnetic fields can have destructive effects on sex hormones, gonadal function, fetal development, and pregnancy. So people must be aware of the negative effects of EMFs. Although the impact of the waves varied at different frequencies, it is better to stay as far away as possible from their origin because of the risks associated with exposures to these waves. In addition, people can use of natural antioxidants to help reduce the effects of these waves. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5014506/ No better way to reduce green house gases that to depopulated the planet. Any one think this is a issue for the Globalist Grifters? |

Interesting but:
"high lithium loss from the subsequent removal of the impurity elements may significantly lower overall lithium extraction efficiency." Will people who have ignored the environmental damage their cars cause buy Tesla's because they are being more responsible? Does any think China gives a flying F about the environment? |

Didn't mean to imply it wasn't good. Musk seems to have a grasp on how to build successful business's. With Lithium mines in Nevada and rail transportation he may have a good business model on this. Problem is if the current trend in Europe comes to America then we will see a glut of cheap Chinese EV's.

This is one of the best Video's on the demand and the economics of adopting the EV. This is why the Democrats must force the adoption of EV's by removing the ICE from consideration.
