I just finished reading, "Target Tokyo: Jimmy Doolittle and the Raid That Avenged Pearl Harbor" by James M. Scott. Fascinating read, right down to details like tuning carburetors on their B-25 bombers, adding extra fuel tanks, etc. 500+ pages.
After reading (and tiring) 12 books about Trump during the past few years, I decided to get back to military history. I'm currently reading, "Patton at the Battle of the Bulge." My dad served in that area during the closing months of WWII.

Finishing up Maverick, biography of Thomas Sowell. I've read some of his papers, but this book puts into context what has always been wrong with social economical thought, and why he left academia because of it..as we head back into similar days.

One Up on Wall Street, by Peter Lynch. It's good. Mostly anecdotal and not (yet) deeply technical. Company fundamentals are important in Lynch's investing views.

Just finished. A bit slow at first and trying to figure out the cast of characters. Can't wait for the next installment.

I’ve read the first two of the Murderbot Diaries series by Martha Wells. The first was a fun, clever read. The second only made clear that its a neat idea for a short story, but not prolonged series. I’m not sure if I’ll keep going.

I just started the 1619 Project. It's deep and gives me a lot to think about. I read 5 or 10 pages, then contemplate what I just read for a day or so. As I mentioned, it's deep.

The Doolittle Raid. Epic innovation and risk. I always have a B-25 on display to remind me of his life long pursuit of innovative flight pursuits. That raid was ya tactically small. But it’s strategic impact in WWII was profound. // Battle of the Bulge. Indeed. My cousin was there w 101st. And D-DAY. And Market Garden. He never spoke about any of it. Like so many.

I just finished, and then picked up The Witcher.
It's weird, LotR was freaking HEAVY, but now this Witcher is almost too light to hold onto. I took the cover off LotR, and it has that string page marker included in the hardback copy. Everyone thought I was AVIDLY reading the bible |
