I have a recurring dream several times a year that I got drafted again. In the dream, I get really pissed!

Being trapped in an elevator on a high floor and not having cell service or the elevator cutting it's cord and dropping.
There is a video on YouTube of a guy who was trapped because he took a smoke break and the elevators were under construction...trapped for 4 days over a holiday weekend. |

My father died of a heart attack.
One of his 3 brothers died of a heart attack. The other 2 have had heart issues. It's true that they were the drinking, smoking, doping, hard-living sorts that didn't work out a day in their lives, but I can't help feeling like I'm going to follow them in this. My cardiologist says it won't happen. I don't/have never done any of that stuff, and I keep myself pretty fit, but I still worry about it. Somehow inside I believe genetics more than I believe doctors. |

Not sure if I had some childhood trauma, but that's the exact "fear" I have. I'm ok with foil ones, but hate latex or rubber ones even though I know they won't cause any harm or pain. I can't even stand watching people blow them up.

Genetics can increase your risk for certain things - if you do nothing about mitigating those risks. Staying in shape, eating healthy, and getting regular check-ups will go a long way.

Ticks.
On the very rare occasion I find one on my dog, I spend hours combing the house looking for others, I just know there's got to be more Every itch I have later, I freak out and think there's one on me. Put me in a room full of bees, snakes or spiders, I don't care ~ one little tick and I'm done I hate those F'ers

I pulled a couple off of my scalp. One when I was a kid, after a day at the park, and one several years ago. Think that one came from a tree, after some tree and yard work. Not sure, just found it on my head later that day. Both times the whole tick was removed, and not the case where the tick buries it's head in your scalp and you pull it off and realize the head has broken off and it's still in your scalp and you get an infection. Bloody little creepy vampires! Can't stand them. |

Getting hit by a car that jumps the sidewalk when I'm out for a run. I have a mile to run before I get the beach boardwalk and its along Collins Ave in Miami Beach.
