I picked it up today after getting full frontal ppf and it looks great. I have to take it back next week for them to check on it and hopefully get the interior done. He was going to do it but he wasn’t able to get the cuts for the interior yet. He said they should be available in another week or two so he didn’t want to mess around and cut them himself.

I actually just had it installed today when I got a check up on the front. It looks like it should. When I grab the door to close it I can feel the edge of it. We will see how it holds up over time. I didn’t ask but I’m guessing they have the cut templates now because it only took him about 20 mins. I was happy to see they were working on another ‘25 M50. It was dark graphite and looked really nice.

The next thing I was considering was a screen protector. I came across some for the ‘25 X3 on Amazon but there’s not enough reviews out there for me to move forward with it. I’ll probably wait until BMW or someone reputable has one available. |

Regarding the interior PPF on the piano black door trim: now that I've used the car for a few days, I realized I don't actually ever touch the piano black trim while opening or closing the door. So hopefully the incidence of fingerprints / swirls / severe scratches will be pretty low in practice. So I've decided not to bother with the interior PPF. Regardless, thanks to buttons81 for bringing this possibility to my attention and sharing your own journey.
Anyway, I'm moving ahead with all of the following: - Full front PPF (STEK DynoShield) - Ceramic coating on entire exterior (System X Diamond) - Heat rejection window tint all around including sunroof (Llumar Air 80) Dropping my car off my installer tomorrow. Fingers crossed! |
