You haven't been paying attention...

the Obama Administration has already stated that the federal gov't won't be enforcing federal drug laws as long as the state's laws are being followed.

Plus, can you show me in the constitution where the federal gov't trumps state gov't in drug law related issues? You won't find it because it isn't there. You will find however that unless specifically stated as a federal power, everything else is left to the people and the states. Therefore, California has every right to legalize marijuana.

On a similar matter, any state is free to make the legal drinking age 18. However, the caveat to this is that they'd lose federal highway funds.

Hazzah, a man of quality!

Vote no. (Not that I have any moral interest), however, by voting yes, you will be destroying whole towns (most notably towns in northern california) that practically generate their whole income from these profits. It will F'up the whole cycle. Go pay for your card & be done with it. Think it'll be any cheaper or easier once taxed?!? Hell no. Why have your money go to the Gov't when it could stay in circulated in the economy. Anyone remember when Arizona tried this unsuccessfully 15 years ago?

Huh? Why let these small towns of Norcal benefit only when the entire state can be benefit from it? I don't know about you but I'm tired of paying 9.75% tax on everything and at this rate it will increase again in a couple of years. CA is in bad shape but i feel legalization and taxation of this crop will help tremendously to save us. For freakin sakes, it's the #1 cash crop in the US.

And do you really think most of our supply comes from Norcal? If you thinks so, you are ignorant my friend. Do you think there are 18 wheelers trucking this stuff from Norcal to LA everyday?!?! It's grown illegally and the state doesn't profit from it. It will be grown regardless due to the high demand and huge profits.

It will create income for CA at each level of the production process (e.g. growers will now have to pay the utility bills instead of illegally tapping into the city lines that we pay for and the list goes on and on) to the consumer who will/should be taxed to smoke it under strict regulations like alcohol consumption. Either way, you can't hide from it now because dispensaries are everywhere here. Guess it's very obvious you know which way I'm voting....

CA legalizing won't end the bloodshed in Mexico on its own, but it breaks the ice for other states to do the same. Once they see the tax revenue it brings in they'll realize how much they need it right now.

Hey, don't lose hope. A Virginia State senator is sponsoring a decriminalization bill for marijuana. It's a step!

you havent seen harold and kumar 2? ole bush said it haha

its just the soil in alabama and a regular Kush plant grown in it, makes it pretty potent, its a indica/sativa hybrid that is just a good smoking plant...not as potent as the ever so popular OG kush, but it goes for 15 a G,50 an 1/8th but worth 70-75 an 1/8...but since its grown there and no travel we get it cheaper

but i will say the best ive smoked was either "mr nice guy" which i heard became real popular in cali(G13 crossed with something else) or some cali shipped OG

Okay dude. Vote yes, see how much better & easier a gov't regulated commodity will benefit you. It will be years before they get their act together to the point were it will be cheaper to buy a gov't "taxed" G. You tired of 9.75%?!? ha! try 20% or higher, easily. (How do you think they're planning on raising money?) So it'll be legal, but you'll still go out & buy it from your local guy, b/c ultimately it will be better & cheaper in the long run. Then you'll get frisked one day, you say "hey, it's legal!" Nu-uh.....not without that little tax tab you'll be required to carry around with each baggie. Fine or jail. I havent read the bill but there will be consequences.

Im not even going to touch all the other crap you insinuated, just trying to stay OT

what are you talking about? The Federal gov't already has statutes making drugs illegal and federal law trumps state law in every situation, Article 6, Section 2:

Quote:
This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.
Drug offenses are enforced by both the state and federal gov't, but the states can't make any laws that are less restrictive than the fed's. Whether the President will choose to enforce that is a different matter.

I forgot about that movie! That was one of my favorite parts of the movie too. Good price; well, not the 70-75.... that would suck. For that much money, I better be getting a BJ thrown in.
