With the new year, there were work arounds. If you are serious about getting up, use something louder and further away from you than a phone. I have multiple alarm clocks. My $20 one from Wally World operates on batteries when power goes out FYI.

I do this and about 10 other alarm clocks if it's something super critical. I never trust myself
