I selected the Fiesta. It is a very nice looking car and the "Ford Sync" option is hard to overlook..

Yeah, i thought about the focus but it is going to be above my price range. If I were to get the focus the elantra would be the better bet due to better mpg, cheaper, and longer warranty.

This is only an opinion but the time to buy a gas sipper is now. I would not doubt seeing a premium put on some of the popular new models or at least no discount.
Instability with global affairs and the always uncertainty with foreign oil.. A Hummer store up the street shut down a few months months ago. It is now a MINI dealership. Sign O' the times.

if i were to get the fiesta I was going to get the S sedan. The hatch looks great but I am on a budget and don't want to spend the extra for a hatch. Does that change your guys opinion on the fiesta. If I were to get the hyundai elantra it would be the GLS. Help me out.

Here's a good article:
http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...mparison_tests Ford has come up by leaps and bounds when it comes to quality. I think you'll be okay there. That being said: I'd choose the Mazda 2. It seems to be the "drivers" car of the bunch. I sat in one at a car show and had plenty of room inside. Another choice may be a diesel VW. Look for a used one to save some money. http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...tdi/index.html I think the hybrids will bore you to death. Not much performance to speak of.

so how about fiesta SE vs. hyundai elantra then?I know the elantra has more leg room in the rear, trunk space, hp, and longer warranty but the price is 2-3 grand more.

You should really get some seat time in each and get a better feel of how the car fits you as far as how driving position, visibility, NVH, etc... fits what you want. |

The only reason why i am still considering the fiesta over the elantra is due to the fact that they have a 500 instant cash, 500 cash for college students, and 1.9-5.9% apr rate. Do you guys know if I get all of these or is it a choice of one of these?

So either rebates or APR. That's how I understood it anyway. BTW, the dealer I talked to in the past is still offering at invoice. I don't think that'll be for long though. |
