I'd gp with Q7...just not quite sure about the reliability of Audis.
It is about $5k cheaper than the X5 equally equipped. Looks better than the X5 in and out IMO |

I love the new Cayenne.
Also look at new X5. Ranger Rover Sport maybe. That's about all. |

I would look for one in this list:
- Mercedes ML - Audi Q7 - Mazda CX-7 - Mazda CX-9 - Range Rover Sport - Infiniti FX45 - Volvo XC90 - Land Rover LR2 In my opinion anything else is not just worth it. Including the BMW ones which personally I don't like at all. In the above list you have a variety of prices/styles/sizes to pick from and get it right based on what you are looking for. |

If I had a family, I'd pick the XC90. The third row seats are well thought out.
The Land Rover LR3 has a very nice brute look...but I would be concerned with the reliability. If it was just for myself...I'd go with either the Q7 or X5. Range Rover Sport would again be a distant third (again because of reliability). My old man just got the new Lexus RX 350. Nice car actually...but not something I'd buy. Too comfortable/ordinary for me. But reliable as heck. He drives a lot...and has already 30,000 kms in less than 7 months...no problems at all. |

Infiniti FX35
I get around 27mpg on normal freeway driving...local around 18. If I get on it...I get between...10~14mpg. Nice vehicle, just dealership service...hell so does BMW... |

The FX was nice when it came out. But now it's fairly old and everyone has one. Plus it's really hard to read the dials when it's sunny outside.
