but in all seriousness, before music went all digital i would go to a record store and an hour later walk out with some QUALITY wax. Now i spend an hour on Beatport/Juno/Stompy just to find 1 somewhat decent track. People who have passion for music will never release anything before it's really really REALLY ready, mixed and mastered. And others will fart into a mic, get a drum loop, fart into a mic some more, let their cat walk on a keyboard, save as mp3, upload to Bearport and then spam the shit our of 100000000000 people on Soundcloud. This tends to back fire. If people know you for releasing garbage, everyone will ignore you when you finally release a good track.

Oh I was kidding, I totally agree with you. I myself try to take as much time putting out something as well put-together as possible before sending it out. And I NEVER spam, it just doesn't work. EVER.
Unless your shit is THAT bad that you're attracting that much attention, and you just become famous that way.
