There's a lot of knock off Vibram type shoes now... I remember seeing Vibrams a long time ago before they hit the market.

Why do you compare them with Crocs, Crocs are absolutely useless for anything, besides looking hideous... while these have a legit purpose, and benefit. Two totally opposite directions in footwear. |

I'm not comparing functionality. I'm comparing looks. I feel that even functional apparel/footwear have a duty to not be vomit inducing or eyebrow raising.

I wouldn't wear my vibrams out in public all the time, but can't argue about their functionality. I personally am not a runner, but my buddy's girlfriend just ran a marathon with vibrams and vouches for them. I bought mine so I can bring it camping and maybe to places like the beach. They are comfortable to wear.

I just did the warrior dash this past weekend. I saw a good amount of people wearing these shoes for the race. They didn't seem to be complaining about them either while trail running up and down hills in the mud.

they have vibrams for trail hiking/running that have the soles built for it. recently noticed that vibram makes soles for a lot of hiking boots, so would make sense they have that aspect covered.

Your are incorrect sir. The most expensive watch available on that site retails for about $1,300.

The most expensive one they make is $3,500 (Diamond Minute Machine) not counting the VERY limited solid gold Time Bomb that sold for $25,000 years ago. They pop up on Ebay from time to time.

I just picked mine up yesterday and I got the regular ones. The speedlace version is for people who have wide feet or really high instep that can't get the regular ones on. Other than that, I don't really see a point in those. I tried a couple of other ones at the store but this one seemed to feel the best. Earlier this morning, I went for a short run (probably under a mile) and my calves and tender and my feet feel sore.
