I had a friend from china who was an exchange student and he basically said they don't really care for human life, there is too many of them that one death won't really matter to them. So I assume they think in a more insensitive and straight forward way towards life than we do. Different culture different beliefs. Still fucked up though IMO.

Yes, the people that watched are assholes. But given the fact that the situation IS different there, maybe you guys should be a little bit more understanding before generalizing your racist comments towards all asians.

Freak a-holes in mainland china will fraud you for anything. Some old lady fell down, then some nice guy go help her out "being nice. Now she grabs him and claim he pushed her down (or hit her with her car) and claim $$$$$$$. People are just afraid that if they helped, the girl's relatives claim HE/SHE was the driver.

A few bad apples ruins the environment. But PLEASE, it's not everyone. When there's close to 2 billion people living there, life gets harsh and yes, lives don't count as much. But that's just because of the environment they are in, not that people are ill minded naturally.

I doubt some of you can understand this. But frankly, there's an uproar also in the Chinese community. So no, not everyone is ignorant.

• By-passers see her, but ignore this litle girl who is flopping around and screaming in pain
• A second van runs over this little girl, who is still screaming and crying for help
• More by passers ignores her as they pass by
• After 18(!) by-passers, a garbage lady(#19) walks by and finally recognizes that this girl is in trouble
• The mom finally hears the cry for help and comes running out to hold her dying little girl in her arms
• These chinese people disgust me(and I'm chinese) ...actually they always have, but this just heightens it.

IDGAF, I would risk being sued over and over again if it helps save a life, especially a helpless little girl. There is no way to justify this on ANY part of the planet.

People have family members they have to feed too. Their concept of "suing" isn't your concept of going to court. They'll bring all their relatives and demand money. There is no court/law involvement. More ppl = they win.

Would you save their kid but also give them all your money while watching them screwing you over?

Perhaps you could, because you live in a different environment where supporting yourself (financially) is easier. When you're competing with 1000 more for a spot to a good university, your concepts may change.

Remember, it's only valuable if it's rare.
