Do you know that it's received an LSD, the same motor as the 911, and proper brakes since then? I know FASB Accounting rules from 2002, but you don't see me trying to apply those today.

I've always disliked the huge front overhang of the production car when compared to the original concept. The new car doesn't really improve in this area.

BMW isn't practical as well, especially the M models.

The BMW demography has changed. All they are about is soccer mom cars. Give the Boxter the same engine with the same output as the 911 and it will be faster around every track. But who would kill the 911 hearitage? I guess only BMW is ready to kill the M3 Coupé and call it M4 Coupé, but they are right. I f so many car about the 911 badge, Porsche should just call the Boxter and Cayman, 911.

Great look for the new Boxster - clear hints of 918 in the front!

Never really considered a Porsche, looking forward to the new M4 but the pic of the new Boxster makes curious about what the Cayman will look like....in 2008 I drove the M3 and Cayman S on the same day and was torn between the two for various reasons...looks like I'll have another tough decision next year...

looks great, and I'll consider it for my next vehicle...seriously who cares what others think, I'm doing better now than ever yet most people would think my taste in cars have downgraded...went from 997.1->z4m->ford but seriously I think my neighbors are about to give me their hand me downs

This place hasn't changed a bit.

the cayman s and boxster s are just as quick around a track as 911s. the gap no longer exists unless you're talking about cars that cost twice the price.

I prefer the 987. This is too squared-off and MR2ish to me.
