M2 vs 3002 !!
No doubt the quality of work on this M2 is TOP NOTCH !!
Props to BWS !!! But what i would like to see is a match between this M2 and the 3002 you guys read it right: 3002. Sorry for this But while we all wait for the real M2 to come out, you guys should check out this other work of art: the 3002 ! Seen during last week's Car&Coffee in Irvine Southern California (the original edition) Let me know what you thinK: (From the video of this thread, at around the 2 min mark, there is a mentioning of a certain "Twin Turbo 2002" Could this be the one ?! I have never seen a better "restoration" or as much effort put into a 2002 as this one. If you have, please let me know, otherwise, i would consider this to be the best "2002" out there... the M2 featured on this video would be close second... EDIT 2: A few google search led me to the owner of the above beautiful blue frankenscar: a gentleman named Paul Cains EDIT 1: In truth, after a few click on googles, you can find there has been a one-off real 3002 that is a mix between a then-2002 and e9 coupe:

Shouldn't it be a 4002ttii? It's a Coupe, after all. Whoever did this is insane...in the best sense. Spectacular car. And I love the way the last "i" on the model designation can't fit and falls toward the tail light. Great stuff.

Vintage body and interior, period drivetrain and wheels, modern suspension and brakes. I lust after things like this.

Well I guess if money is no object I would do the same thing. E39 with S85 v10, E46 with S65 v8, E34 with S54 etc. Very nice built and truly unique on the road! Me approve!

Dedicated: E30 M3 engine transplanted into a 2002
Some dedicated die hard ///M fans go all the way: transplanting an E30 M3 engine into a 2002, nicknamed "M2".
Compare also with this this elegantly crafted video of TLC for an orange 2002 (posted earlier: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=562993):
