That's cool. I never throttle others opinions.
I have a shiny quarter that says dealerships will not be able to keep up with demand. They are already limiting what stores get the first batch. I am older and all that poop. In my teens/ twenties I may not look at a C7 either. I had whatever would start and had a back seat. Wink. |

Sales took a hit because of the economy but also because GM couldn't afford to push the C6 out of the house. It was supposed to be replaced in 2009. The C7 wasn't anywhere near getting to any type of prototyping so they started the ZR1 program to keep the C6 around. The 6th generation was around for 9 years and the underlying platform dated back to the C5 which came out in 1996. It was more than overdue. Sales should be pretty decent with the new design. |

If you look at any of their new cars that have come out post 2010, they have been doing a great job at stepping it up. |

Hopefully 2016 (2 years after release), there will be some good deals out there. We will have to wait and see I guess. |

Handling wise I agree. Interior wise....eehhh. Their small to midsize cars are still crappy. But I am watching this new Corvette as it has peaked my interest like no other GM product has since the Typhoon and Cyclone. Please note this is my opinion. |

Corvettes have always been good bang for the buck (except their cheap shells and interiors), but this car takes things to a whole new level. Supercar performance for 55k
Potential Z4 3.5i and SLK350 buyers are going to think twice before cutting a check. Great looks and German engineering are going to attract many buyers but Stingray's agressiveness and raw v8 power are going to be hard for many people to pass up. If I didn't need a car with 4 doors, I'd trade in my f10 in a heartbeat....well not if dealer marked up! |

z28 is an absolute animal. Theres a 30 page discussion aboutit on the porsche forums. It has the potential to steal sales all over the board. Street legal racecar with ONLY the essentials and a backseat to haul more people or supplies around in, what more can a track rat ask for!!! |

1LE is a trim for the Camaro SS that improves the chassis and thus handling. It's like the track pack for the Mustang. Without the track pack, the Mustang is pretty much a classic muscle car. All straight line performance, horrible in the corners. With the track pack, it's pretty good around them.
And the 1LE makes the Camaro SS a pretty good handling vehicle. Start at 2:50 to see C&D's thoughts on it. |

I was never a huge Corvette fan in past. Mainly because of the low quality interior and kind of blah styling. I always liked it low mass and high performance ability.
However, I am liking this new Corvette more and more by the minute. It is decent looking, has a much nicer interior, great features, bargain price and performance that is unrivaled at the price point of $50K. The 4 series was my other choice. But BMW made it easy by not going through with the concept styling all the way and turning a car more plain and blah. Also, lack of any new engine upgrades and most importantly no new software upgrades to the horrible and numb electric power steering has made my choice that much easier. I can't wait to test drive the new stingray at this point. Only draw back for me would be lack of ability to seat 4 coming from a GT coupe. However, at least it is a pure sports car.

I've been eyeing a C6 Z06 for awhile now, but this C7 seems like its a better option. I'll wait and see how astronomical dealerships will mark them up, being limited and new and all.
