When pulling over for speeding, has the pooping excuse worked?

Perfect, I myself have only exceeded the speed limit once in my life and this was two months ago when I had to get my son from school ASAP. If I ever need to exceed the legal speed limit again and get pulled over, I’ll throw the poop card and will report back with the results.

Thanks for doing this! If you've answered this question before, let me know and i'll keep scrolling - the thread got pretty big!

If you pull over someone for speeding and they have a radar detector, is it pretty much 100% you're ticketing them?

Any time! I love these kinds of threads.

Not at all. Their behavior and other factors determine that.

Thank you! This is the first NYE I've had off in a few years, so I'm glad to be home today. I'm so happy that I'm going to Macy's to buy new linen. I hope you and your LEO have a happy and safe New Year's.

Glad you're off, Sedan_Clan . This is the worst and most dangerous of the Amateur Nights during the year.

Happy New Year and thanks for your service to the broader community as well as our own little slice of Al Gore's Internet Heaven know as BP OT.

Exactly the reason why I choose not to go out on NYE. Call me lame, but I don't care

Just too wild and chaotic.

Thank you! I'm wishing you guys a safe and happy New Years Eve as well. I know the drunks will start hitting the streets around 7pm. I will happily be indoors by that time. I want no part of the calamity. Lol!

No special call-out for your current department, when their saturation patrols get saturated???

We are celebrating by having dinner at happy hour time, then hopefully watch the east coast feed of the ball drop on Beast, in bed by 9:15.

#whippersnappers, nothing good happens after 9:00pm.

My department has already drafted a bunch of Deputies and Sergeants for NYE duty. I work a double shift tomorrow, so I was safe from the draft.

When I worked Christmas I used to bring the Scout car home in the morning for prezzies with my kids, it was always quiet then. New Years Eve was always a shit show.

Some fucked up shit happens around the holidays.....thank god I'm ok after seeing it.....I'm hardly fucked up at all. Happy New Year kids.

Yeah, in all seriousness, emerging with your sanity intact is always a plus. What we see or have seen can, and does, drive people crazy.

I sometimes think I'm broken but for the most part I cope....I have a few things I don't want to talk about but hey shit happens and I'm way better off than many others.

I gather you're not working tonight, have a very happy new year and a prosperous 2020. Stay safe brother.

I miss the job and the guys I worked with, some genuine characters. I remember when I got hired being told I had just got tickets to the greatest show on earth. I know its in the past but it is an amazing job but it can also grind you down and leave you broken.

You'll get there, I have a sense that your head is screwed on straight. Rely on your training, you have had the benefit of working for a world class organization so you know what's what. Play safe and go home to your family everyday.

I used to love working third shift on New Year's Eve when I was in school. Get out of work at 6:00 AM on New Year's Day, gas up the bike, and see what kind of land speed record I could set just as the last of the overnight DUI patrols were heading home leaving miles upon miles of empty roads unguarded. Oh, how much fun we could have in the olden days.....
