I was out to the local Christmas Market last evening and came across a vendor that I hadn't seen before. Like all the alcohol venders at the market they were doling out samples. This one grabbed my attention. I'll report back once I've given it a proper tasting.

Apparently it's supposed to be available at Bishop's Cellar on the waterfront. Scratch that, Bishop's cellar lists a couple of Still Fired Distillers offerings but currently not Rapture of the Deep. Tell her to drop down to the Evergreen Christmas Market right beside the Waterfront Warehouse but she'll have to hurry as today is the markets last day.

I checked out their site since they ship. $35 for the rum and $25 for shipping. Hard pass...

I don't blame you. I just sent a small gag flask to a friend in Ottawa. I paid $13 for the flask and it cost me $22 to mail it. Merry Christmas Canada Post.

Wife just got back from a trip to CT, got me some old favorites (Lag 8yo and the Pampero), and a couple of new ones to try from reopened or new distilleries.

Tried this stuff...its actually pretty damn good. I love the flavor and oddly smooth which as far as I'm concerned, is not typical of Absolut

B-I-L-I-L picked up a bottle of Willits single barrel bourbon for the cabin this weekend. I normally have a bottle of Don Perignon for the ladies for NYE, but switched up and got a Joseph Perrier Rose instead this year. Probably won't be enough snow on the balcony to chill them, but it will at least be cold outside.

I've previously NOT been a fan of WhistlePig, but my staffer got me a 15yo Estate Rye for Christmas ($99, not $300) Dang, I have to switch up my opinion of WP!

That Adictivo is aptly named! It has become one of my favorite tequila's, possibly pushing out Clase Azul!

2 of us finished that Willits in 2 days, with a sniff here or there from others at the cabin. If they left their glass more than about 10 minutes, some hoover came by and sucked up the remnants.

It had been a few moments, but Thursday night I figured I haven't had Wild Turkey 101 in a few decades. Quite tasty. Then moved on to try a Larceny bourbon. No idea where that one came from, the bottle on the shelf just caught my attention. Would drink again!

Easy.....I like white rum for mixing but if I'm sipping I tend to go to dark.

Thumbs up

Received this as a gift. I'm generally not a wine drinker. However, this was tasty and gotta love the bottle which is definitely unusual for wine. More reminiscent of a bourbon bottle.

Currently sipping on some Scarabus. The smoking lamp is lit.

I've got some bourbon on the back burner.
