I’ve been on a low carb diet so don’t typically eat out. However after a “meeting” today over bourbon and cigars… I had one too many and had to get something to eat. Greek salad with some chicken.

Nothing! It was supposed to be baked chicken breasts. I put the oven on and saw the usual preheat message. Went back 10 minutes later and it’s still showing 175 degrees preheating. Shut off and tried again. Still nothing. Temp not rising. No convection. No regular bake, no roast. It won’t go on. WTF. No grill, it’s too cold. Now my oven died. FML! Carry on.

I hope it’s fixable. My dish washer died and after 12 years I did not want to invest 1/2 the cost of a new one so I called to order a new one. It’s on back order till June ! None that fit my requirements to be found. Parts on order. Project ahead.
Good luck. Quote:

@cmyx6go didn't you get all new kitchen?
Worried about you with weather coming. Not even a George Foreman grill, panini grill, at least a functional microwave? Stove top work so you could boil?

The stove does work, and I do have a microwave and a toaster oven but those don't help when I have chicken breasts ready to bake. Sorry for the hijack. We will now return to your regularly scheduled programming. ![]()

Fish Spatula 2.5 lbs Chilean Sea Bass, 4 pieces fairly thick 1/2 tsp dry basil 1/2 tsp dry Oregono 1/4 tsp dry thyme salt paprika 5 cloves garlic minced (I like the microplane) 7 castelvetrano olives, minced 1 - 1 1/2" tbsp capers, drained and minced 1 1/2 tbsp honey 2 tbsp butter 2 tbsp olive oil 1/2 cup white wine (sauvignon blanc) 2 14 oz cans cherry tomatos (fresh is better if you have them and want to peel) sprinkle the fish with the dry herbs, salt and paprika over medium high heat melt the butter with the olive oil. add the fish, fry 3 minutes each side and remove deglaze with white wine, add the garlic, olives, capers, and honey, simmer a bit add tomatos, bring to boil, reduce heat to simmer, add fish back in, cover simmer until fish is 140 - 145 degrees internal temp |
