all right, I need one of you to tell me how to go about painting the chrome "BLING BLING" part on my MKV Jetta to Matte black. I am getting a badgless grill,
but the bottom grill will have chrome, and with the sides (where the brake air ducts are).

Just sand and paint. No need to prime. As long as you use plastic spray paint you will be fine.

Done getting software upgrade for GTI, 150 mile round trip, forgot how fun that car really is...feels faster than mine, though I know thats just because our 335s feel slower than they are.

I would personally choose the GTI over a 328. Hell of a fun car. Handles well, pretty quick. Throw in a $600 tune and just about as fast as a 335, averages 26 mpg, and half the price of a 335. Only real drawback is the front wheel drive...pretty big drawback though.

Don't go badgeless unless your getting a new hood. Looks silly with the half circle at the front of the grill..and the aftermarket piece that fills that space looks bad. As for how to paint it...just pull the grill off, clean it good, and paint away.
