Miserable rainy day weather. Whatever snow we had fall in the past few days is melting. Going to have some yo-yo temperatures for the next week or two with above and below freezing temps. Impossible to keep the car clean.

My contractor came in again to clear my laneway last night. It's going to be a real mess on Wednesday with forecasted T° of +8C and lots of rain.

Calm before the storm, not a breath of air right now.
Expecting 'noreast wind (hot here) up to 70MPH and humidity in the single digits overnight.
NO SMOKING!!!!!

Forecasters are calling for a strong Santa Ana wind event starting tonight (now) in to tomorrow, with gusts up to 55mph.

I have written before about the safe little pocket we live in where the Santa Anas seem to pass right over us. Hope that happens again tonight and tomorrow for us.

The winds out here can be downright dangerous. I have watched full grown trees topple over in my back yard. It's part of life out here.

The winds seem to be picking up. Let's hope they pass.

We had 1/4 inch of gentle rain yesterday, which is good for our drought situation.

A bigger storm system is coming in on Wednesday, with highs forecast to be in the upper 50's F and 2+ inches of rain. After that, the forecast highs will be barely above freezing until the weekend.....

The overnight freezing rain on top of the 2" of snow made it easier to blow.

Could be all gone as they have 24hrs of rain stating at 4PM

The winds did not pass us by and it was a dangerously windy night. There are trees down in the neighborhood and the chainsaws have been busy today. Luckily no damage on my property. Those Santa Anas rattle my nerves.
